About
Why OhioASK
Government impacts our lives and communities every day, both personally and professionally. Engaging with your elected officials and policymakers has immense value.
Government can be complicated and difficult to navigate from the outside. The challenge of finding help has been exacerbated by the loss of institutional knowledge and higher policy staff turnover in our legislative offices and government agencies.
Government affairs professionals like lobbyists work in the arena every day and can fill the gap. However, not every organization, business, or person can afford a lobbyist, nor should they need one for the government to solve basic problems or to get answers to straightforward questions.
About OhioASK
The Ohio Advocacy Services and Knowledge Center (OhioASK) team of professionals and advisory partners believe in the spirit of democracy and that good governance comes from broad civic engagement and problem-solving with Ohio policymakers.
With the support of a board of policy advisors, one of Ohio’s leading government affairs firms, and a dedicated director, OhioASK offers solutions to empower individuals to independently address their government affairs and advocacy needs.
Ohio ASK is philanthropic in that it serves as an educational resource to increase civic engagement and assist in problem-solving. OhioASK endeavors to be a one-stop Advocacy Resource Center with a range of free resources (e.g. advocacy guides, advisory supports, limited pro bono lobbying, and referrals) and additional paid services for organizations that want more
robust advocacy training and active assistance.
